Last week I had the pleasure of travelling to Saskatchewan in order to photograph my cousin Jamie’s wedding in her home town of Birch Hills, which has a population of somewhere between 800 and 1000 people. (Please correct me if Ang is wrong on that! ) This was the first time I had been back since 1994, when Jamie’s sister Ang and I got our belly buttons pierced in P.A. by a barber with some barbicide, a cigarette and a piercing gun. In any event, I thoroughly enjoyed seeing so much family again, if only for a brief time. I was also very impressed with the landscape and the sky in this part of the world, so different from Vancouver. Take note of the incredible changes in the sky on this one day, for instance.
Oh, one more thing: a big thank you to whomever it was that gave my dad my camera battery at the end of the night during clean up! (and if anyone finds a plastic flash cup, please let me know. Thanks)
