Last spring I was in rural northern India to volunteer my photo skills for Operation Rainbow Canada, a volunteer organisation which provides free plastic surgery for kids with cleft palates and burns. You can visit the posts about my time in the Akal Charitable Hospital of Baru Sahib here, here and here. (Yes, three posts.) After my stint up north I met Jules at the New Delhi airport and we went on a two week road trip around other parts of Northern India. Tidying up some of these photos and blogging a few has been on my to-do list for over a year now, and the baby’s impending arrival is probably what’s got this finally done. Anyway, I’m not much of a travel photographer– I’m very shy and self-conscious about being a tourist, but here is a sampling nonetheless.

how can you possibly say you’re not much of a travel photographer?! — these are phenomenal.
shy serves you well. every frame is captivating!
Awesome. Your photography rocks, as always. Loving the colours.
The music that was playing in the background at home sounded like a lullaby while I looked through these, and I thought it was the perfect soundtrack. The photos and your shyness are a wonderful melody. 🙂
