shereene + tak

Now that I’m in the new place and my desk fits in the right corner, I have all my cables and shelves mounted on the wall, it seems like I’m able to blog a wedding per week! There will be a bit of a slow down this week since I have two family weddings… including my mum’s! A blog posting on that will come eventually I’m sure. A couple of days after that I head for Hawaii. Before I go anywhere, however, and before things get too hectic around here, I am pleased to post a selection from Shereene and Tak’s gorgeous summer wedding. Shereene and Tak are both involved in the visual arts—in fact their wedding favours were donations to Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design—my old school! I did my best to find portrait locations which were handy and handsome, and after a much needed Redbull for Tak, we had a fantastic little portrait shoot before heading to the Westin Bayshore for their Reception. All the dresses were custom designed in the Philippines by the way. I had such a hard time cutting portraits out of this posting that I haven’t posted any reception pictures. There are lots in your online slideshow though, Shereene and Tak!

I love asymetry!

Tak and his brother watch the girls coming down the aisle at Queen Elizabeth Park’s Celebration Pavillion.

Tak receives the wedding bands from the little ring bearer.

All the girls do their best to cool him after the ceremony. Brides’ maids can attend the groom too! These lovely fans were given out to guests as they entered the pavillion before the ceremony.

Sarah What a BEAUTIFUL Asian couple! I love the expression on his face as the girls are walking down the aisle. Gorgeous photos, Melia.

James Super. And beautiful Bensen (I believe) Vancouver-made furniture in the first few shots.
