Sara and David were married June 23rd, so I am a bit behind in my blogging, but maybe they’ll catch this preview while still in Vietnam. Their wedding was a very tasteful and intimate affair– a gathering of just their closest friends and family in the beautiful Georgian Room at the Vancouver club. I hung out with the girls upstairs in the morning (there are hotel rooms above) while they got ready. Right after the ceremony there was a champagne toast, and from there we hopped into our cars to do a quick shoot at second beach and got away just as it was starting to rain. When we got back the bride and groom had a bite to eat and everyone gathered around on couches to hear some really fantastic speeches ( I am really lucking out this year). The live jazz band played while people danced, and Sara and David and I did one more little shoot downstairs in the club lobby, which has a stunningly lit arrangements or orchids and candles on a table. Sara really liked some shots I did of Sarah and Korry’s wedding last year which were in a soft, antiqued palette, so I hope she likes some of the tea stained undertones and warm black and whites I used throughout.
